Ukraine's Independence Day 2023 - Fundraising Picnic
UCCA in Charlotte partnerned with St. John's Ukrainian Greek Catholic Mission in Charlotte to mark Ukrainian Independence Day. So many came to support Ukraine and donated to our goal of purchasing a medical evacuation vehicle. We raised $11,620. All the funds were allocated to front line medical units in need of high mobility trucks that capable of reaching the hardest hit areas of the war and aid in evacuations of those wounded. The program included Ukrainian performances, games, a raffle, souvenirs, and delicision Ukrainian food. Together we will continue to help Ukrainian people fight for independence, so that we could have the privilege of celebrating this day for years to come!
Reflecting on a Year of Resilience: Together for Ukraine and Democracy
Awareness and fundraising evening to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine and to celebrate Ukrainian resilience. Together with Davidson College and Davidson for Ukraine team, we raised over $35,000 for urgentrly needed medical equipment for Ukraine. The evening included Ukrainian food, musical performances, a silent art auction, and sharing of lived wartime experiences.
Christmas Adventure: In Search of St. Nicholas
We embarked on a holiday adventure for the whole family with special presents from St. Nick. Show, games, contests, pictures with St. Nick, presents and so much more! All proceeds directed to supporting Ukraine, specifically towards the purchase of the evaculation vehicle for the front line medics.
Picnic In the Woods - Fundraising Event
Ukrainian community of Charlotte and nearby areas came together for a picnic event to raise funds for those impacted by the war. UCCA Charlotte raised $6,618, which were used to purchase and ship humanitarian and tactical supplies to Ukraine.
Ukrainian Independence Day - 2022
The biggest Independence Day celebration in Charlotte yet. So many Ukrainians, their families and friends came out to celebrate this special Independence Day. Our hearts were with those fighting and suffering from Russian invasion as we raised funds to purchase tactical and medical supplies to be sent to Ukraine.
S.K.A.I Charity Concert
Ukrainian band S.K.A.I visited Charlotte with the concert benefiting Ukraine Heroes Fund, Revived Soldier charitable organization and UCCA Charlotte.

Charlotte Independence Soccer Game
Ukrainian communitee came out to support their home team and Charlotte Independence striker Illia Shevtsov from Kherson, Ukraine! A portion of proceeds from ticket sales benefitted UCCA in Charlotte and was used to purchase medical supplies that were sent to Ukraine.
